Kenosha Area Soccer Association merges with ACE Soccer Club

ACE Soccer Club and Western Kenosha County based Kenosha Area Soccer Association  have announced completion of a merger between the two programs. As a result, KASA, an established Kenosha County recreational soccer program with over 500 members and currently recognized by US Club Soccer, has merged their program with ACE Soccer Club who operates programs in Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee.

KASA and ACE, have entered into a joint venture agreement to provide youth recreational and a select soccer competitive programs to children in Western Kenosha County, Walworth County, and Western Racine County.

Oscar Toscano, founder of ACE Soccer Club and current president, said, “This is an exciting step forward. In 2009 we announced the commencement of our current club, enabling us to provide soccer to youth from all walks of life, at a low cost while not deterring from top quality coaching. We have grown to 20 competitive teams in a short time frame, with each team playing exciting, yet fun soccer. Adding KASA to our program allows soccer to grow in this area, while both programs sharing the same mission, vision, and beliefs.”

In paying tribute to KASA, Oscar said“after a short introduction to the idea, we were amazed with the work Jim Gere (KASA founder), and the KASA families have done to bring the beautiful game of soccer to youth in Western Kenosha County. It was easy to know that KASA is made up of good people, and that ACE was a right fit to let KASA act as our feeder program.”

Jim Gere, who acted on KASA’s behalf, has brought youth soccer for nearly a decade to Western Kenosha County, and provided the input on his program. The merger involved very little change in practices, or changes to the current KASA program. ACE will provide additional training by its select coaches to the youth recreational program, and assistance in talent search for those ready for the select level.
