A crash today at Highways C and MB in Bristol this morning caused at least one injury and disrupted traffic on the roads.

A report from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department was not available today.

Scanner transmissions (via archive) indicated the crash was reported around 6:45 a.m. The crash was initially thought to just involve damage to vehicles, but when deputies arrived they found there wa sat least one injury. A semi-tractor trailer and a vehicle with a farm license plate were involved. Two tow trucks were called to the scene, as was a state inspector, since the crash involved a semi truck. Traffic was blocked at Highways D and C while emergency crews worked at the scene.

Someone who lives near the crash scene told westofthei.com that the semi was a gravel truck and that the farm plate vehicle was a pick-up truck.

The number of serious crashes at the Highways MB and C intersection lead the county Highway Department to last year propose constructing a roundabout at the intersection. Currently, traffic on MB stops, but traffic on Highway C does not.

Note: We will report more information when it becomes available. — DH
