Randall School Recycling Fashion Show coverage

Randall School eighth graders showed Wednesday that style can be recycled — as in using recycled materials — at the Recycling Fashion Show.

Eighth grade students researched a fashion designer and then put what they learned into practice by creating clothing and accessories in the style of their designer but using all recycled materials.

On Wednesday, they got to show off their creations to the rest of the school.

Also decorating the runway area were art projects sixth and seventh graders created from recycled materials.

The show was under the supervision of middle school art teacher Wendy Fredericksen, with inspiration from the school’s “recycling queen” teacher Jennifer Boule.

For a sample of the sights and sounds, here’s some video of the show:

Here are some more photos of the fashion show as well as some of the sixth and seventh grade art projects (Click continue reading link):

What an awesome job kids! I loved to see all the hard work you put into the clothes you created. I for one would never have thought the recyclables could be used like that. Hats off to you and the art teacher. Keep up the good work!

  2. Anna Munoz says:

We were very inspired we hope to do one at our school as well. Super job!
