Riverview School’s first ever Pentathlon Team took first place at state recently.
Last Tuesday, they were recognized with the following awards at an all-school assembly:
Varsity Division
- 1st overall in state –Chad Oehme (he received the following individual medals – 1st Music and Math, 2nd Essay, Social Studies and Science)
- 2nd overall in state – Quinten Bunch (he received the following individual medals – 1st Essay, Social Studies and Science, 3rd Music and Math)
- 3rd overall in state – Anna-Paige Leptich (she received the following individual medals – 2nd Music and Math, 3rd Social Studies, Science and Essay)
Scholastic Division
- 1st overall in state – Joey Burba (he received the following individual medals – 1st Math, Essay, and Science, 2nd Social Studies and Music)
- 2nd overall in state – Alyssa Gregory (she received the following individual medals – 1st Music, Social Studies, 2nd Science, Essay, 3rd Math)
- 3rd overall in state – Nate Thiel (he received the following individual medals – 2nd Math, 3rd, Music, Essay, Social Studies and Science)
Honors Division
- 1st overall in state – Carl Simmons (he received the following individual medals – 1st Social Studies (tie) Science, Math, Essay, 2nd Music)
- 2nd overall in state – Rae Anna Slager (she received the following individual medals – 1st Music, 2nd Math, Essay, Social Studies and Science)
- 3rd overall in state – Ian Peyton (he received the following individual medals – 1st Social Studies (tie) 3rd Science, Music, Math and Essay)
This team just recently completed their testing for the National competition. They finished third in the nation. They will be receiving their awards for the national competition on Awards Day , June 4.
Team Members are: Carl Simmons, Joey Burba, Quinten Bunch, Rae Anna Slager, Alyssa Gregory, Chad Oehme, Ian Peyton, Nate Thiel and Anna-Paige Leptich.
