Paddock Lake Arbor Day 2012 coverage

Paddock Lake celebrated Arbor Day today with the planting of a tree at Village Hall.

The program was coordinated by former village Trustee Karen Harris. The tree was donated by Ludwig Nursery of Brighton.

A Cub Scout Pack and some other bystanders helped with the planting. Each of them was sent away with a maple tree seedling to plant at home.

State Rep. Samantha Kerkman and county Supervisor Michael Underhill also participated in the ceremony.

Kim Sebastian of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources presented Harris with a new Tree City USA flag. This is the 13th year that the village has earned that distinction.
