The villages of Paddock Lake and Bristol will be celebrating Arbor Day with ceremonies tomorrow.
- Paddock Lake will conduct a tree planting on Saturday, April 28, at the Municipal Building at 6969 236th Ave starting at 10 a.m.
- Bristol will be planting trees at the park adjacent to its Municipal Building on 83rd Street from 10 a.m. to about noon, Saturday, April 28. Members of the public are invited to attend and perhaps even help if they’d like.
Holding an Arbor Day ceremony is part of the requirement for receiving a Tree City USA designation. Paddock Lake has had that designation for 13 years. Bristol is seeking that designation, in part to gain access to grant funds for planting and tree preservation projects.
