Charges have been filed against the Silver Lake village president and a Trevor man related to an incident at a Silver Lake restaurant and bar.
According to Circuit Court records:
- One count of disorderly conduct has been filed against Jeffrey Albrecht, Silver Lake village president. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 27.
- One count of disorderly conduct has been filed against Gary Faber, of Trevor. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 27.
A Kenosha County Sheriff”s Department report on the incident indicates Albrecht alleged that Faber confronted him about village business while Albrecht was dining at the restaurant and bar in the 28800 block of Silver Lake Road, Silver Lake on the evening of March 30. The report also indicates that Faber alleged to police that Albrecht was violating the state concealed carry law.
Though Silver Lake Police initially responded, the investigation of the incident was turned over to the Sheriff’s Department when it was discovered that it involved a village elected official to avoid conflict of interest.
