Central forensics takes first place at Mukwonago invitational

The Central High School forensics team has won another first place, this time at Mukwonago’s invitational on Saturday, March 31.

Strong competition from New Berlin Eisenhower still was not enough to top the Falcon speakers who have four first place trophies to their credit this year, and that includes the Southern Lakes Conference Championship.

Individual winners for Central were Kate Gerou in demonstration and Mike Hibbard in public address. Second place trophies were awarded to Dustin Beth in extemporaneous speaking, John Lynch in radio announcing, and Alycia Griesi in storytelling. Cathi Edwards was third in four-minute speech.

The final test for the forensics team will be at the Wisconsin High School Forensic Association’s State Festival on Saturday, April 21. Central qualified a full slate of speakers and performers for this event.
