An equipment failure was the cause of last night’s power outage, a We Energies spokesman reported this morning.

At its height, the outage, which lasted from about 9 to 11:30 p.m. effected over 3,000 Western Kenosha County customers.

Our original reporting from last night is available here.

  1. Matt says:

That is twice in two weeks the power has gone out in a large area. Lets hope this gets fixed.

  2. Terry Burns says:

WE Energies is attempting to correct the situation. You will notice that trucks from Asplundh Trees Service are in the area trimming trees that power lines pass through to lessen the probability of power outages in specific areas as it relates to Paddock Lake.
