Brenna Kempf to appear in Milwaukee Chamber Theater production of Bus Stop

Brenna Kempf

Brenna Kempf, a 2009 graduate of Wilmot High School and current theater major at University of Wisconsin-Parkside, will be appearing in the Milwaukee Chamber Theater’s performance of Bus Stop, by William Inge, which runs from April 12 through April 29.

In the middle of a howling blizzard, four passengers become stranded overnight in a small-town diner 40 miles west of Kansas City. At the center of the storm is Bo, a rambunctious young rodeo rider, who comes crashing in like a headstrong bull with Cherie, the nightclub chanteuse he’s kidnapped and is planning to wed. Kempf plays Elma, an intelligent, but naive and impressionable high school girl, who is a waitress at the diner.

Bus Stop is a collaborative effort with UW-Parkside, featuring some student and faculty actors. Students, alumni and faculty members will also serve on the creative team.

Tickets for Bus Stop can be purchased online or by calling the Milwaukee Chamber Theater at 414-291-7800.
