Salem Fire/Rescue firefighters participate in Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb

Eight Salem Fire/Rescue firefighters participated in The American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb in Milwaukee on March 17.

The firefighters had to climb the US Bank Building in full turnout gear plus an air pack all weighing approximately 75 pounds. That was a grand total of 1,046 stairs.

Together the Salem team raised $1,385 to help those struggling with lung related diseases. It was made up of members from the Salem and Trevor stations.

Donations are still being accepted.

The team consisted of Ashley Leibforth, Bill Grish, Cindy Grish, Dave Kersting, Jason Busser, Jason Witte, Jim Coppelman and Josh Winder.
