Central’s forensics team is the Southern Lakes Conference champion.
Facing tough competition from Burlington and Waterford, strong performances held those schools off and the first place trophy, the only trophy awarded at the event, is now in Central’s hands. Burlington High School hosted the tournament Tuesday night.
Four Central students are category champions of the SLC: Kate Gerou in demonstration, Dustin Beth in extemporaneous speaking, Annaliesa Potter in moments in history and Alycia Griesi in storytelling.
The next feat the Central team hopes to accomplish is qualifying the entire team at the Wisconsin High School Forensics District contest at Oak Creek this Saturday, March 17.
