At about 7 p.m., deputies are reporting that a train is stopped blocking Highway C and that a lot of traffic is backing up. The railroad is being called.
Might be a good time to employ your favorite alternate route. But with Dousman Transport being on Highway C, it’s possible some school buses may end up getting stuck or delayed if this lasts much longer.
UPDATE 7:08 a.m. — Dispatch reports to deputies that train is broken down and repairs may take an hour.
UPDATE 7:58 p.m. — Deputy reports train appears to be moving again.
