Storm related crashes and other incidents

At 2:59 p.m., a sheriff’s deputy is responding to a report of a crash on Highway 50 near Highway MB, Bristol. Dispatch says a car ran off the road and into the south ditch. No injuries being reported at this time.

UPDATE 3:17 p.m. – Twin Lakes Police responding to report of crash near Highways F and EM. Car slid off road. No info yet on injuries.

UPDATE 3:33 p.m. — Sheriff’s deputies responding for a reprot of crash in the 37500 block of Highway 50. Car in westbound ditch. Injuries unknown.

UPDATE 3:49 p.m. — Sheriff’s deputy responding for report of crash in the 9100 block of Highway W. Car may be on its side.

UPDATE 3:58 p.m. — Sheriff’s deputy responding to report of a crash in the 5800 block of Highway MB, Paris. Car in ditch. Another deputy responding to a report of a crash in the 1300 block of I-94, southbound lanes.

UPDATE 4:03 p.m. — Sheriff’s deputy responding to a report of a crash in the 23000 block of 84th Street. Person hit a mailbox. No injuries.

UPDATE 4:38 p.m. — Bristol Fire and Rescue is responding to a report of a crash with injuries in the 15500 block of Highway WG (Stateline Road).

UPDATE 5:20 p.m. — Deputy responding to report of crash in the 14300 block of Highway 50. Car in the north ditch.

UPDATE 5:34 p.m. — Six cars reported in ditch near Highway 45 and Highway WG (State Line Road).

UPDATE 5:36 p.m. — Three vehicles reported in the ditch along Highway 50 at about the 31000 block.

UPDATE 5:45 p.m. — Line reported down in the 600 block of Barry in Twin Lakes.

UPDATE 5:47 p.m. — Deputy out with a car in the ditch off of Highway 142 just east of Highway X, Brighton.

UPDATE 6:10 p.m. — Traffic being blocked at Highways C and W. Not sure why.

UPDATE 6:54 p.m. — Report of low hanging wire at Highways P and F, Powers Lake.

UPDATE 6:57 p.m. — Deputy dispatched to report of possible three-car crash or just vehicles in ditch at Highway 50 and 83-north, Wheatland.

UPDATE 8:08 p.m. — Bristol Fire and Rescue and sheriff’s deputies responding to report of crash int eh 12200 block of Highway U, Bristol.

UPDATE 8:23 p.m. — Paris Fire and Rescue is responding to the 13700 block of Highway U for arcing wires down on trees. Trees starting on fire, a state trooper reports to dispatch.

UPDATE about 8:35 p.m. — Salem Fire/Rescue is responding to a report of a fire in the 8700 block of Highway FR. Dispatch says the exact location and what might be on fire is not known. UPDATE 8:44 p.m. — Randall Fire Department also being dispatched because it is not clear if the fire is off Highway FR or Highway JI or between the two in about the 8700 block. A Silver Lake Rescue squad confirms there is a fire that is actively burning. UPDATE 8:46 p.m. — Deputy suggests off road vehicles may be needed due to fire’s location. Flames picking up, he says. UPDATE 8:48 p.m. — Silver Lake Rescue squad repeats that fire is growing in size. UPDATE 9:02 p.m. — Personnel at scene says fire may have been brush pile.

UPDATE 9:04 p.m. — Report of arcing wires setting trees on fire in 8400 block of 368th Avenue, Wheatland. UPDATE 9:11 p.m. — Fire chief on scene to evaluate. Decides not to call out units.

UPDATE 9:14 p.m. — Salem Fire/Rescue responding to report of trees on fire in the 9000 block of 270th Avenue. UPDATE 9:15 p.m. — Fire responding, rescue staying in quarters.

UPDATE 9:54 p.m. — Salem Fire/Rescue and sheriff’s deputies responding to a report of arcing wires in trees in the 6000 block of 240th Avenue, Paddock Lake.UPDATE 10:07 p.m. — We Energies contacted. Fire department and deputy clearing the scene.

UPDATE 10:12 p.m. — Deputy investigating report of a large tree blocking teh southbound lane of Highway MB south of Highway 50, Bristol.
