Are you farming in Southeast Wisconsin and looking for new or alternative markets for your farm products? Perhaps you are looking to expand your business and are in need of new sales opportunities. SEED (Sustainable, Edible, Economic Development) in Kenosha and Racine counties is offering the Opportunities in Marketing to Distributors program to all farmers in Southeast Wisconsin.

The three-hour program will provide an overview of what is currently happening in Southeast Wisconsin as it relates to the production and distribution of farm products and will also feature representatives from Midwest Foods, a distributor who is currently looking to build relationships with local farmers and connect local farm products to their customers. Midwest Foods will discuss their buying philosophies as well as share how it might be possible to sell local farm products to them. The program will end with an hour long networking session that will feature local food snacks. This program, scheduled for Wednesday, March 7, will run from 9 a.m. to noon and will be held at the Veterans Terrace, 589 Milwaukee Ave., Burlington.

There is no cost to attend this event, however, registration is required. To register for this event, contact Lynne Leithleiter at 262-637-7698 or leithlei@sbcglobal.net.
