Suspect in Twin Lakes bank robbery arrested

A man arrested Friday by Lake Geneva Police is suspected of robbing a Twin Lakes bank last week.

The 31-year-old Genoa City man was being held Monday in the Walworth County Jail, pending charges of robbery.

Police suspect the man robbed a Lake Geneva Bank Friday, Feb. 10 and another Lake Geneva bank on Oct. 17, 2011 in addition to the Twin Lakes bank.

A press release from the Lake Geneva Police says:

On Friday, Feb. 10, at approximately 11:07 a.m., officers from the City of Lake Geneva Police Department responded to 426 Center Street, Chase Bank, for a reported robbery. The suspect was described as male white wearing blue jeans, tennis shoes, a black jacket and carrying a book bag. A suspect matching this description was located a short time later in the area of Townline Road and Curtis Street in the City of Lake Geneva.”

Lake Geneva Police worked in cooperation with the Twin Lakes Police Department and the FBI in investigating the case.
