Sheriff’s deputies broke up a party early Saturday morning that led to issuing numerous citations related to underage drinking.
The party was taking place at an upper apartment unit in the 30600 block of 114th Street, Wilmot.
Six deputies responded to the address at about 12:47 a.m. regarding a report of a possible underage drinking party under way.
Deputies found some people outisde, including some who fled and were caught by deputies.
Upon eventually gaining access to the apartment, deputies found about 70 people inside, including individuals hiding in the bathroom, closets and the attic.
Thirty eight underage consumption citations were issued. The hosts, aged 21 and 19, were also cited for 19 counts each of knowingly allowing underage persons to consume alcohol. Three people were cited for obstructing justice and one person was arrested for a parole violation.
