At 11:35 a.m., units from Salem Fire/Rescue (Salem and Trevor stations) and Bristol Fire Department along with sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a fire in an attic in the 9600 block of 256th Avenue.
Resident inside house is trying to exit with two dogs and two cats, dispatch reports.
UPDATE 11:38 a.m. – Deputy on scene reports smoke, but no flames seen.
UPDATE 11:40 p.m. — First fire personnel on scene reports no flames visible from outside.
UPDATE noon — A Bristol unit is returning to quarters.
UPDATE 12:01 p.m. — Some Salem units returning to quarters.
UPDATE 12:14 p.m. — Fire command terminated. All units clearing scene. Deputy reports that fire department confirmed no fire.
