Extension services to host equine education program in Bristol

A full day Equine Educational program organized and sponsored by Illinois and Wisconsin Cooperative Extension Services for horse owners will be offered on Saturday, Feb. 11  in Bristol.

This program will focus on horse nutrition. Examples of some of the session topics include general horse nutrition, managing manure, feeding vitamins and minerals to horses, managing hay, balancing rations, and much more. Speakers will include: Kevin Kline, Equine Specialist with Illinois Extension; Liv Sandberg, University of Wisconsin Extension Equine Specialist; Craig Sandmire, Equine Nutrition Specialist; and  several other specialists.

The program begins at 8 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. Lunch will be included with the program fees, which are $30/person or $50/2 people and $15/youth on or before Feb. 3. Registration fees increase after the early bird deadline.
