The Salem Parks Board wants to hear from you at its next meeting.
The town is engaging in a master planning process for recently purchased property on Camp Lake bordered by 104th Street, 104th Place, and 270th Avenue. An initial kick off and introduction will be held at the regularly scheduled Park Board meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m.
The public is invited to attend this meeting to provide ideas regarding the development of the master plan and to voice your hopes and concerns for this property.
There will be an initial introduction, followed by a public input session.
Town Hall is located at 9814 Antioch Road (Highway 83).
UPDATE — More info, including maps and images, are available here.
Now that this land is off of the tax rolls maybe the town should split off part of it for homes. If it can be divided then maybe the ‘vacant land’ tax bill that the schools and town, (not to mention the county) no longer receive ($20,000) can be replaced by a few ‘home’ tax bills.
