When the snow falls, crashes seems to happen. We will collect some reports we pick up from the scanner here. If something seems particularly serious, we may break it out into a separate post.
UPDATE 2:27 p.m. — Sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a crash on I-94 northbound lanes, between a car and a semi-truck. No Injuries at this point.
UPDATE 2:56 p.m. — Salem Fire/Rescue is responding to a report of a crash at Highways C and B, Salem. Minor injuries reported.
UPDATE 3:03 p.m. — Deputy responding to a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the 11000 block of Highway U. Driver has help coming.
UPDATE 3:24 p.m. — Deputy is out with a minor crash at Camp Lake Road and Silver Lake Road. Waiting for tow truck.
UPDATE 3:26 p.m. — Semi from Interstate call is pulling away.
UPDATE 3:27 p.m. — Power lines down across Highway U. Traffic being shut down at 128th Street (State Line Road) and 116th Street.
UPDATE 3:45 p.m. — Report from someone out on the roads is that they are pretty slick now.
UPDATE 4:23 p.m. — Rollover crash reported on I-94 southbound lanes at about Highway E. Deputies and state trooper responding. Vehicle is upside down. Dispatch reports that a bystander checking on driver says they are OK and wearing their seatbelt.
UPDATE 4:27 p.m. — Somers Fire and Rescue responding for a report of crash in the northbound lanes of I-94 at about the 338 milepost (700 block). Injuries unknown. Vehicle is against a wall.
UPDATE 4:28 p.m. — Deputy investigating a car off the road near the Highway C and 83 intersection. Deputy reports that car just slid off the road and help is on the way.
UPDATE 4:40 p.m. — Paris Fire and Rescue responding to the rollover on I-94 near Highway E referenced above.
UPDATE 4:50 p.m. — Bristol, Pleasant Prairie and Newport fire and rescue departments responding to a report of crash in the 12200 block of the northbound lanes of I-94. Report is that a car and a SUV involved. One of the drivers reporting no injuries.
UPDATE 4:57 p.m. — Bristol being dispatched to respond with a squad to 1 mile marker for mutual aid to Newport. Not clear if this is same scene as above.
UPDATE 5:05 p.m. — Deputy being dispatched to a report of a truck in the ditch in the 26000 block of Highway 50, Salem.
UPDATE 5:19 p.m. — Snowmobile just went up 248th Avenue at a rather fast pace. Is there really enough snow for that?
UPDATE 5:20 p.m. — Deputy looking for ditched vehicle referenced above reports none found from Highway 83 west to Highway B.
UPDATE 5:39 p.m. — Deputy reports car that has spun off the road in the 17300 block of Highway 50.
UPDATE 6:06 p.m. — Deputiesand Salem Fire/Rescue and Silver Lake Rescue are responding to a report of a crash at Highways JB nd B, Brighton.
