Bixler achieves Eagle Scout rank

Jacob Bixler of Twin Lakes  has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor attainable through the Boy Scouts of America. His Court of Honor was held on Saturday at Salem United Methodist Church and was attended by state Rep. Samantha Kerkman and state Sen. Bob Wirch.

The son of Jeff and Gail Bixler, Jacob is a member of Troop 380, Twin Lakes. He has served as a leader in his Troop, holding the positions of Historian, Quarter Master, Safety Officer, Camp Master, Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader. He earned 21 merit badges.

Bixler’s Eagle project was to complete a landscaping and drainage project for the church.

Bixler was presented with a state legislature citation honoring his achievement signed by Kerkman and Wirch.

Bixler is a freshman at University of Wisconsin-Stout, majoring in Information Systems Technology.
