Primary needed for Salem School Board election

With two seats and five candidates there will be a primary election for Salem School Board Feb. 21.

The candidate who receives the least votes will be eliminated in the non-partisan primary.

Filing to stand for election to the seats were:

  • Incumbent Kirsten Ruzicki.
  • Peg Aull, a former board member.
  • Ryan Buchberger.
  • Kim McCleod.
  • Jack Niccolai, a retired Salem teacher.

Incumbent Sam Corbett is not seeking re-election.

The candidates that survive the primary will then continue to the April 3 general election.
