At 8:49 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue, Bristol Fire and Rescue and sheriff’s deputies are responding to the 7300 block of 256th Avenue (Highway 75), Paddock Lake, for a report of smoke coming from a building.
UPDATE 8:53 p.m. — Dispatch reports that first personnel on scene sees no signs of fire.
UPDATE 8:54 p.m. — Additional personnel on scene reports a smell of burning plastic at scene.
UPDATE 9:10 p.m. — Two fire units remaining on scene. All others standing down or returning to quarters.
UPDATE 9:47 p.m. — Fire command reports a toaster oven was found on. Units clearing scene.
