At 8:58 p.m., Somers Fire and Rescue, a sheriff’s deputy and a state trooper are responding to a report of a crash in the northbound lanes of I-94, Somers.
One vehicle involved and is reportedly blocking traffic at about the Highway 142 exit ramp.
UPDATE 9:01 p.m. — Dispatch says a second vehicle may also be in the ditch a bit farther north.
UPDATE 9:06 p.m. — Dispatch says second vehicle in on shoulder of southbound lanes.
UPDATE 9:23 p.m. — Paris Rescue now responding for patient in vehicle in southbound lanes.
UPDATE 9:35 p.m. — Deputy responding to a report of a crash in the 6100 block of the southbound lanes of I-94.
UPDATE 9:47 p.m. — Deputy reports that his squad has been rear-ended while he was setting up flares at one of the scenes.
UPDATE 9:53 p.m. — Deputy requesting that southbound I-94 be shut down at Highway 142.
