In a start to the New Year that many would rather not see, the National Weather Service forecast calls for an 80 percent chance of snow Sunday.
First, the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for 9 a.m. to midnight Sunday. Rain from tonight will change to mixed precipitation and then snow later. That snow could accumulate to one inch and be blown by the wind, causing visibility troubles.
