At 8:42 a.m., Salem Fire/Rescue and Bristol Fire and Rescue and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a possible structure fire at Highways K and 75.
Report was phoned in by a passer-by, dispatch says. Deputy reports to dispatch that it may be smoke from a burn barrel.
UPDATE 8:49 p.m. — Fire personnel on scene and investigating. Northbound traffic on Highway 75 being blocked to stage equipment.
UPDATE 8:53 p.m. — Small fire pit found. All units but one engine returning to quarters.
