Central hosted the Watertown Goslings in a non-conference boys basketball battle Monday night. The Falcons started off very slow and never recovered, going down 7-0 before getting a basket on a 3 point bomb by Dalton Sjong. The first half ended at 14-6 Central on two 3 pointers from Sjong.

The second quarter with lackluster play on both sides but Watertown made more of their shots to move out to a 29 – 13 lead with all the Central starters on the bench at the half.

The third saw a bit of energy, Mike Michelau turning a steal into a breakaway dunk that got the crowd into the game for a short time. But the Goslings kept the Falcons at bay moving to a 36 – 19 lead with 2 minutes left in the quarter. Then with the Falcons down 41 – 19 the frustration of the Falcons play caused the referee to call a Technical Foul on the bench. Then the Goslings hit a 3 to go up by 25 to end the quarter. The fourth quarter saw numerous substitutions and the final tally was 58 – 32.

The Falcons were led by Sjong with 14 points and Luke Millhouse 9. Watertown by Rose 19 and Williams and Miller each with 8.

The Falcons travel to rival Wilmot on Thursday.
