At 10:21 a.m., Salem Fire/Rescue and Bristol Fire and Rescue and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a garage fire in the 8900 block of 269th Avenue, Salem.
Dispatch reports that a neighbor is reporting the fire and says the detached garage is fully engulfed.
UPDATE 10:27 a.m. — Personnel arriving on scene reports smoke coming from eaves.
UPDATE 10:31 a.m. — Deputies discussing need to block traffic on Highway AH.
UPDATE 10:35 a.m. — Salem chief reports fire has been knocked down. Crews beginning overhaul, the process by which they make sure the fire is out. Units still responding advised to slow response.
