Flight for Life for tractor accident victim

At 3:28 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue is setting up a landing zone for Flight for Life medical transport helicopter.

The patient was apparently run over by a tractor the patient was working on near Camp Lake.

UPDATE 3:33 p.m. — Flight for Life expected to arrive in 8 minutes.

UPDATE 4:07 p.m. — Flight for Life takes off from landing zone.

UPDATE 12-12-2011 — From a Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department report: Victim was a 70-year-old man who was refueling his 1940’s era tractor when it ran him over. He got up and ran down the tractor and stopped it. When a deputy arrived, victim was in kitchen, but in pain from what may have been cracked rubs and other  internal injuries. Injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. He was transported to a Milwaukee area hospital by Flight for Life for treatment.
