Units responding for report of smoke smell

At 11:30 a.m., units from Bristol Fire and Rescue and Salem Fire/Rescue are responding to the 22400 block of 86th Place, Salem, for a report of strong smell of smoke in a home.

Dispatch says occupant is outside with her children. Upon returning she found the smell of rubber burning and smoke in the house.

UPDATE 11:36 a.m. — Firefighters on the scene and investigating. No signs of fire seen from outside so far.

UPDATE 11:39 a.m. — Bristol units returning to quarters. Salem units continuing.

UPDATE 12:10 p.m. — Problem found to be with refrigerator motor. All units returning to station.
