Ardie Monzel reports that westbound traffic on Highway 50 is being re-routed onto Highway W north for what appears to be a crash on Highway 50 on the bridge over the Fox River, just east of Highway W south.

UPDATE 12/9 — A report from the Sheriff’s Department says the driver of a vehicle on Highway W north made a right turn onto Highway 50 in front of a westbound vehicle. The westbound vehicle struck the first vehicle in the rear. The turning vehicle ended up against the guard rail along Highway 50. The driver of the turning vehicle, Raymond Arnold of Wheatland, was cited for failure to yield right of way. Both drivers were transported from the scene by ambulance with non-incapacitating injuries.
