The Paris Town Board will meet in special session Wednesday at 7 p.m. to explain and consider a proposed temporary amendment to its contract with Waste Management regarding payments from the Pheasant Run Landfill.
The town, which levies no property tax and pays residents’ county property tax, relies on payments from the landfill for most of its revenue.
The meeting agenda says there will be a presentation on the proposed amendment, followed by time for citizens comments and response to citizens comments. That will be followed by consideration of the amendment by the Town Board.
The meeting will be held at the Town Hall, 16607 Burlington Road (Highway 142).
