At 6:05 p.m., deputies and Salem Fire/Rescue are responding to a report of a stabbing at 83rd Street and 249th Avenue, Salem.
Dispatch is advising rescue to stage until deputies get on scene.
Stabbing victim was reportedly stabbed in the neck area, dispatch reports to responding units.

UPDATE 6:11 p.m. — Rescue now moving in to treat patient by the boat launch.
UPDATE 6:12 p.m. — Deputy reports suspect in custody.
UPDATE 6:22 p.m. — Bristol Fire and Rescue being dispatched to set up a landing zone for Flight for Life medical transport helicopter.
UPDATE 6:26 p.m. — Flight for Life estimated time of arrival 17 minutes, coming from Illinois.
UPDATE 9:30 a.m. — From Sgt. Bill Beth, Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department spokesman: “On 11-17-11 at 1802 hours deputies responded to a report of a stabbing on 83rd St in the 24900 block at the Hooker Lake boat launch in the Town of Salem. An injured person was transported to the Kenosha County Center where Flight for Life took the injured person to Milwaukee for medical care. The injuries are non-life threatening. At 2210 hrs on 11-17-11 the person was reported to be in critical but stable condition. A second involved person is being detained. The case is open and investigation on-going. No other information is being released at this time.”
