The eighth annual Santa is Coming to Salem will take place Dec. 3 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Salem Town Hall, 814 Antioch Road (Highway 83), Salem.
Many fun activities are being planned. Santa will be arriving about 1:15 p.m. on a fire truck. Rides on the truck will be given if weather permits.
Community groups hosting activities at the event will be:
- The Sharing Center will be having raffles and pictures with Santa.
- Toys for Tots will be collecting unwrapped gifts that will be to someone in the community.
- Salem Booster Club will have a Cookie Walk with holiday treats. Proceeds will benefit Toys For Tots.
There also will be games and prizes for kids and adults, crafts and activities for kids, cookies and hot cocoa and cider.
At 5 p.m., there will be a tree lighting.
