The Paris Town Board will hold a special Town Board meeting Monday at 4 p.m., at the Safety Building, town Clerk-Treasurer Beverly McCumber announced today.
The sole agenda item is a a public discussion of “implementing a plan/process to pay a portion of the 2011 Kenosha County Taxes for residents of Paris.”
No action will be taken at the special meeting, the official notice states. The item is also on the agenda for the regular Town Board meeting, which will take place Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The town has not levied a town property tax and has customarily paid residents county taxes from fee money it receives from Waste Management, the operators of the Pheasant Run landfill, which is located in the southwest portion of the town.
Residents still pay school property taxes.
