The Seno Woodland Education Center will host its first annual Pig Roast and Silent Auction fundraiser on Oct. 8 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Funds from the event will help to finish renovations on the barn and other improvements around the property, which is located in Wheatland. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children 5 to 12, children under 5 are free.
The property will be open for hiking or wagon tours to enjoy the fall colors.
The event will feature music by the Wooden Bridges Blue Grass Band, featuring Jeff Mann on banjo, Rich Schwartz on mandolin, Don Moore on bass and Rudy Custer on guitar. The Wooden Bridges Bluegrass Band has been together since 2005 and plays a mix of bluegrass, country western, Irish and folk music.
There will also be a silent auction featuring wine, quilts, bird houses, canvas bags, digital camera and many more items.
