Connor Grayson of Silver Lake has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor attainable through the Boy Scouts of America.

The son of Keith and Nancy Grayson, his Court of Honor was held on Saturday at Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta and was attended by state Rep. Samantha Kerkman.

Grayson is a member of Troop 329 in Silver Lake. He has served as Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, Venture Patrol Leader, Historian and Scribe over his time as a Boy Scout. He also earned 33 merit badges. His service project benefited First Christian Church in Kenosha. Grayson funded the project by approaching area businesses and individuals for donations and coordinated approximately 15 volunteers to assist him in building a fire pit and benches for the church to use in outdoor worship, teen ministry and the yearly church camp-out.

Grayson is a student at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Kerkman presented Grayson with a state legislature citation honoring his achievement signed by Kerkman and state Sen. Robert Wirch.
