Riverside Rob Draganski

The “Riverside” Rob Draganski benefit will be held Sept. 24, at Bay Billiards & Sports Bar, 107 Towne Centre Lane, Fox Lake, Ill.

Draganski, a Wilmot Union High School graduate who performed in the area, was a promising blues guitarist with a passion for music from a very young age. On Friday, May 11, 2007, at 22, his life was cut short by a drink driver.

Proceeds from the event will go to M.A.D.D. and VH1 Save The Music.

VH1 Save The Music Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in America’s public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child’s complete education. Since 1997, the VH1 S.T.M.F. has provided $45 million worth of new musical instruments to more than 100 cities around the country, impacting the lives of more than 1.4 million public school students.

The event will include a billiards tournament. Sign-=up starts at 11 a.m. There also will be food, drink specials and music.
