Wheatland Center School hosted a community carnival and grand opening of its new school run/walk trail on Friday, despite less than perfect weather.
Most of the carnival was conducted indoors while the bounce houses were outside for those who did not mind a little dampness.
After a short ceremony lauding the volunteers — and especially Linda Sabourin — for their work on the trail, a ribbon cutting and initial official run/walk was held just after the rain diminished for a bit.
