Highway 75 north of Highway 50, under construction all summer, is open for through traffic again.
The biggest change is a new four-way stop at the Highway K intersection. It comes up quick if you’re used to using 75 as a short cut north from Highway 50. It has flashing red lights too, but you can never be too careful.
Motorists will find a somewhat wider road, with more of a paved shoulder than in the past. There also are some longer turn lanes at some intersections and a lot less scrub trees along the roadside in places.
Also driving up the road and back down again Wednesday afternoon, there was still a little equipment moving around, yet another reason for caution.
