Former Silver Lake village President Ronald C. Wieland was sentenced today to 12 years in prison on three counts of third degree sexual assault, circuit court records show.
Other sexual assault charges as well as several charges of bail jumping were either dismissed on prosecutor’s motion or dismissed but read into the record.
Wieland was village president from 1979 to 1983. He also was a part-time officer in the village police department during the 1970s.
