Pringle Nature Center, 9800 160th Ave., Bristol is hosting two activities this Saturday, Aug. 27:
- Invasive Species Workday on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to noon. Workers will help to continue to restore the Oak Savanna and Prairie areas. They will be cutting down buckthorn, multiflora rose, and other invasive plants. This also helps create open spaces in the woods for school children to explore when they are out there for programming. Please bring your own work gloves; tools will be provided. - A Leave No Child Inside: Come & Explore!, Saturday, Aug. 27, from 1 to 4 p.m. Come and explore Pringle and Bristol Woods as summer draws to a close. Sit in a magic spot, check out the pond critters, check out a GPS and go geocaching, or if you’re not sure what to do, there will be cards with suggestions on how to explore the woods. Free.
