At 8:40 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue is responding for a complaint of a fire with a lot of smoke in the area of the 9900 block of 269th Court, Camp Lake.
Dispatch said they found no burning permit for that area.
UPDATE 8:45 p.m. — Fire personnel in the area and investigating.
UPDATE 8:56 p.m. — Deputy reports to dispatch that he has located source of smoke. It is a homeowner burning yard waste. Deputy says homeowner will be extinguishing fire.
