The Silver Lake Fire Department will host a pancake breakfast at the firehouse on Aug. 14 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Trustee Michael Decker, a department member and the chairman of the Emergency Government Committee, reported on the fundraiser at the Village Board’s meeting Wednesday.
The department is looking to raise funds for the purchase of thermal imaging equipment, Decker said. The department had another breakfast fundraiser earlier this year, which was OK, but may have been somewhat slow due to bad weather.
The board voted unanimously to allow the use of the firehouse for the breakfast.
