At about 11 a.m., Salem Fire/Rescue responded to a report of a general fire alarm at Salem School, Highways 83 and AH.
The alarm company reported to the fire department that the alarm was false. A Salem fire chief confirmed the false alarm at the scene, adding that an evacuation of the building was conducted when the alarm sounded.
