The Lakeland 17 Big League has been eliminated from the regional tournament after losing two games.
Lakeland 17 team lost their first game in the regional tournament Tuesday night to Illinois.
Wednesday, Lakeland 17 lost to Ohio 6-4 to be eliminated from the tournament. Lakeland loaded the bases in the 7th inning but couldn’t score to get the game into extra innings.
This is the first team from Lakeland and Wisconsin to play in the regional tournament in this age bracket.
The team is coached by Mario Anichini and Michael Sorensen. Team members are Anthony Anichini, Jason Gackowski, Mike Harms, Casey Joendt, Jake Ludwig, Teagen Miles, Corey Muhlenbeck, Tommy Neave, Luke Podella, Dalton Sjong, Mike Sorensen and Tyler Sorensen.
