New approach to open house this year for Wheatland Center School

Wheatland Center School administration is working on a new format for the traditional just after the beginning of the year open house this September.

Principal Patti Clements said at the regular School Board meeting Tuesday that this year’s event, on Sept. 12, will be formatted less as a meet and greet and more as a parent information night. Teachers will have the opportunity to address parents and tell parents about communication methods to be used, expectations and related topics.

The new format is part of an ongoing effort at the school to improve school-to-home communication, said district administrator Jason Tadlock.
