At 3:09 p.m., units from Salem Fire/Rescue and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a fire alarm at a church in the 24900 block of 75th Street (Highway 50), Paddock Lake.
UPDATE 3:14 p.m. — Deputy on scene reports smoke detector problem suspected. No fire.
UPDATE 3:20 p.m. — Fire command at the scene reports that problem caused by church changing detector batteries.
