Lakeland 17 of Lakeland Little’s League Big League Baseball left Monday for Wyoming Michigan representing Wisconsin in the Big League regional.
This is the first team from Lakeland and Wisconsin to play in the regional tournament in this age bracket. The team is coached by Mario Anichini and Michael Sorensen. Team members are Anthony Anichini, Jason Gackowski, Mike Harms, Casey Joendt, Jake Ludwig, Teagen Miles, Corey Muhlenbeck, Tommy Neave, Luke Podella, Dalton Sjong, Mike Sorensen and Tyler Sorensen.
They begin play in the double elimination tournament at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening going up against the winner of Illinois and host Michigan. Championship games will be played on Thursday night and Friday if needed.
